I’m sure you’ve realized by now that when you send a student to school, you need to fill out a lot of forms! I’m sorry to say that one more has been added to your list, but it is an important one! It is called the “Digital Equity Form”, and there are two ways to fill it out. Firstly, a paper copy will be included in your Welcome Back packets tonight, if you prefer a paper form. Secondly, the form is available to complete on ParentVUE per student. Here is how to access it:
- Login to ParentVUE. You can do so from here: http://wemschools.org/synergy. If you do not have a ParentVUE account, you can get an Activation Key by contacting Kristi in the front office. ParentVUE is a great way to track your students’ grades and other important information. If you’ve forgotten your password, click on “Forgot Password”.
- If you have more than one student in school, you will need to click on each student to complete the form. If you have only one student in school, they will be active by default.
- At the left, click on Student Info, then at the top, click on the “Edit Information” button.
- Scroll all the way down to the bottom to fill out the “Digital Equity Form” and submit.
Some notes to remember:
- Last year, all devices went home to students, but in a typical school year, only students in grades 4 through 12 will have devices sent home.
- The 4th through 6th graders will have iPads sent home.
- The 7th through 12th graders had Chromebooks sent home last school year, but this school year, we are deploying Windows laptops instead. For that reason, please do not choose the “Chromebooks” option for the first question, unless your student plans on using a personal Chromebook to complete homework at home.
- If you are not sure about any of the questions, I can help. Send an email to “technology@wemschools.org”. Otherwise, give your best guess!
Thank you for taking the time to complete this form.
