What are you looking forward to this year?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “Hopefully winning the Section Championship.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “To keep improving this season and then go to State.”
- Chase Shear (Senior): “Winning the Section Championship and proving everyone wrong.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “To go to State”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “Just to keep on improving and being the best player I can be.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “To the playoffs and making it as far as possible.”
What is a personal goal that you have set for yourself this season?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “I want to run for one touchdown.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “To make the other teams want to run the ball away from my defensive side. Also, to be a good leader for the team.
- Chase Shear (Senior): “To have ten touchdowns.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “To get a pancake every game.”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “To score at least three touchdowns.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “To be the guy other teams have to plan for.”
What are some things that you need to work on as a team or as an individual?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “Our mindsets need to be better as a whole, when we get a lead we stop giving effort.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “The whole mental aspect of the game. Whether it’s keeping our heads on straight, not false starting and to not let the opponents get in our heads, but to get into theirs.”
- Chase Shear (Senior): “We need to work as a team on our mental focus and keep up on our blocking assignments.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “I think we need to work on our offensive line.”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “Just to figure out our mentality when we are on the field and do better during the second half. I need to read the defense sooner and adjust to how they play quicker.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “To keep improving and taking steps.”
What are some of the team’s strengths?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “Our defense is very solid and we are able to get plays very consistently on offense.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “We are a very good team defensively and we have the athletes for a consistent offense as well.”
- Chase Shear (Senior): “Our defense is really good this year and we have a lot of athletes who can make plays out of nothing.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “We are all pretty close with each other, so I think that helps.”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “We all want one thing and that is to win, and we all push each other to be better.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “I think we keep pushing and don’t give up when things get rough.”
How do you expect the season to turn out?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “As section champs, and hopefully more.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “To be Section Champions like we were supposed to be last year, and then after sections, we should have to worry about state playoffs.”
- Chase Shear (Senior): “Section Champs.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “Make it to State and our regular season 7-1.”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “We win State.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “Get to the Section Championship.”
What do you do, as a team, to get ready for a game?
- Anton Hickman (Senior): “If it is a home game, we have a meal at a senior’s house. Away games we go eat together somewhere else. We listen to music to get us hyped and keep the energy up.”
- Kolten Cherf (Senior): “For home, we go to a senior’s house for a pre-game meal. Then for away games we eat together if we can and whether it’s home or away, we always have the music bumpin.”
- Chase Shear (Senior): “We have meals for home games and for away games we go eat somewhere as a team if we have time too.”
- Tommy Revier (Junior): “For home games we eat at a senior’s house and for away games we stop and get food.”
- Kaleb Morberg (Junior): “We have a team meal, and everyone focuses for gametime.”
- Jonas Spry (Junior): “We have meals together as a team and get hyped and focused in the locker room.”
