Seniors – deadline to turn in your senior composite photo is December 17th by 3:00 p.m. Please remember that it must be a headshot and NO PROPS.

There will be a senior high student council meeting on Wednesday, December 8 at 8:00 am.

Congratulations to the junior high girls’ basketball teams on their wins over Fosston yesterday.
Good luck to the boys and girls’ basketball teams as there will be a double header here tonight versus Fertile. JV girls on the main floor at 4:30 with girls’ varsity to follow about 6:00 p.m. Boys C-team at 4:30 p.m. with boys JV to follow both in the A & E. Boys’ varsity at 7:30 in the main gym.

The Win-E-Mac Yearbook staff is taking pre-orders for this year’s book to be distributed upon completion in May of 2022. The cost is $35.00 now and until December 22nd and will cost $40.00 after December 22nd. Yearbooks can be purchased in the office or from Mrs. Winter (room 51) before or after school or during students’ noon hours. Complete the form below and return it with your payment.

2021 Holiday Food Drive – November 29th-December 10th – Elementary class with the most donations will win a pizza party and the high school prize will be an assignment waiver for the grade with the most donations. Note: expired items do not count towards your totals. All elementary classrooms will have their own drop-box. High school each grade will have a drop-box in their assigned classroom: 7th – Ms. Bakken/Mr. Hendrickson; 8th – PLTW; 9th – Mrs. Winter; 10th – Mr. Breitbach/Mrs. Aakre; 11th – Mr. Eckman; 12th: Mrs. Strom. Priority items – canned soups, hygiene products, juices, sugar, canned pasta, and canned vegetables.
On Wednesday, December 8 at 5:15 WEM will be having its Fall Sports Awards Night. This is for all high school participants in football, volleyball, cheerleading, and their families. Letter winners and award winners will be announced. The presentation will take place in the commons. This will be a ‘casual’ event.

The Senior High Knowledge Bowl team will begin practicing on Wednesday mornings starting Wednesday, December 8. We will be able to have in-person meets this year so we will be traveling to Thief River for our competitions! Competitions begin in January. All students in grades 10-12 are invited to participate. Snowmobile Safety Class will be offered by the Lengby-Fosston Knightriders Snowmobile Club of McIntosh. The class is offered to students aged 11 years or older. Saturday, December 11th – 8:00 a.m. until about 4:30 p.m. classroom training. Saturday, December 18th at 9:00 a.m. online students, or 10:00 a.m. classroom students, until finished with driving test. Kids & adults 16+ can attend either the traditional class or complete just the online class found on the DNR website. Students are required to attend the full-day class or complete the online course and the driving course to receive their certificate. An information sheet can be picked up in the office.

 

Lunch today will be oven-fried chicken drumstick, mashed potatoes/gravy, dinner roll, fresh fruit & vegetables, and milk choice. Breakfast on Wednesday will be mini pancakes or cereal, cheese stick or uncrustable, juice, and milk choice. Lunch on Wednesday will be pulled pork on a bun, seasoned fries, baked beans, fresh fruit & vegetables, and milk choice.
