Thought for the Day: No matter what people think of you, always keep singing your own song.

The Erskine Commercial Club is looking for help during this year’s Water Carnival. We need responsible people (adults or older teens) who know how to handle money and can fill and tie water balloons- to work shifts at the Water Wars booth. If you can sign up for an open shift, please let Angie at the city clerk’s office know right away. Water wars open shifts: Thursday – 5pm-9pm; Friday – 4pm-9pm; Saturday – 2pm-6pm and 6pm-9pm; Sunday – 2pm-6pm.

There is a signup sheet in the office for any HS boys in grades 9-12 who might be interested in playing volleyball this summer with the possibility of forming an official team that could play with other teams across the state. Currently, volleyball is the second most popular men’s sport in the world and is one of the fastest-growing boys’ sports nationwide! Currently, there are 56 schools/cooperatives and over 1400+ boys playing in Minnesota. This would be a club sport for now and is not associated with the Win-E-Mac School. If you are interested in trying it out please sign up. Practices would start late in June. There will be a fee, but it has not been determined yet.

Students interested in the Summer Sports Performance Program with Rhonda Breitbach, please pick up a form in the office. This program will be open to students ENTERING 7th-12th grades next year. It will run 2-3 days a week in June & July (depending on age). This is a GREAT way to improve your strength and speed for the upcoming sports seasons. For more information, you can reach out to Mr. Langemo.
