Thought for the Day: Being successful doesn’t necessarily make you great. What makes you great is when you reach back and help somebody else become great.
The Erskine Commercial Club is looking for help during this year’s Water Carnival. We need responsible people (adults or older teens) who know how to handle money and can fill and tie water balloons- to work shifts at the Water Wars booth. If you can sign up for an open shift, please let Angie at the city clerk’s office know right away. Water wars open shifts: Thursday – 5pm-9pm; Friday – 4pm-9pm; Saturday – 2pm-6pm and 6pm-9pm; Sunday – 2pm-6pm.
We will be having our awards assembly at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday 5/24. Due to COVID, this is the first one of these I will lead. I am listing below who/what will be recognized. If I am missing any group/organization, please let me know. I will contact coaches/advisors directly with what I need from them. Baseball, Softball, Golf, One Act Play, All School Play, Knowledge Bowl, Student Council, River Watch, Honor Society, Robotics, Visual Arts, Choir, Band, Honor Roll, Sr. Class Officers, and Spotlight on Scholarship.
There will be a meeting for next year’s 7-12 grade football players on Wednesday after school in Mr. Breitbach’s room.
The JH boys golf meet today has been canceled.
The Varsity girls golf meet is still on, for now, we will be notified by 11:30 if it is still on.
Today’s baseball games with NCE/U-H and Ada have been postponed. The makeup date will come out shortly.
Lunch today will be taco in a bag (lettuce, tomato, sour cream, cheese, salsa, and black olives), fresh fruit & vegetables, and milk choice. Breakfast on Tuesday will be an English muffin sandwich, egg sausage, cheese or cereal, and cheese stick, juice, and milk choice. Lunch on Tuesday will be mashed potato bow, popcorn chicken, gravy, corn, dinner roll, fresh fruit & vegetables, and milk choice.
