The 2025 Win-E-Mac School District Spelling Bee was held at 8:30 on Monday, January 13th in the Arts & Events Center. Seventeen spellers from fifth through eighth grades competed in the Spelling Bee. In the end, Megan McGlynn, an eighth-grader, was the champion and will be competing at the Regional Spelling Bee in Thief River Falls on Wednesday, February 5th. This will be Megan’s third time competing in the Regional Spelling Bee.
Taking second place was Grafton Langemo, from sixth grade. Taking third place was Amy McGlynn, a fifth-grader. In all, 119 words were used in the competition throughout 21 official rounds (plus a practice round). The championship word was “palette”.
