Position Overview:
Win-E-Mac Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to supporting students with diverse needs, working collaboratively with staff and families, and fostering a supportive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with IEPs in a variety of settings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers to support student learning and inclusion.
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and progress.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with due process requirements.
- Participate/facilitate IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain).
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with co-teaching and inclusive practices.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive tools.
