It’s already August 4th! In just a few short weeks, school will be back in session, and it’s a good idea to be ready for it!
Before Open House
- Online Registration is on ParentVUE again this year. Log in as you’ve done in the past and click through the pages of the “Online Registration” module, updating information if there have been any changes and submitting it.
- If you haven’t logged into ParentVUE before, here’s how to do that: Please email secretary Erin Lisburg (elisburg@wemschools.org) and ask for a seven-digit “Activation Key”. After she sends it to you, go to this website: wemschools.org/synergy. It will redirect you to the correct ParentVUE link for WEM (do not just search ParentVUE, as you may end up in the wrong district). Click on “I am a parent”, then “Activate Account”, then “I accept”. Enter your first and last name and your activation key. From there, you’ll be asked to create a username and password… and you’re ready to start Online Registration! (Please note: this process works best on a bigger screen.)
- Technology Fees can also be paid online using LINQ (https://linqconnect.com/5RJYZA). These fees are required per school year for students who are bringing a device home, including 6th through 12th grades. While you can pay them in person on Open House night, it’s a good idea to either pay online or bring payment to the office beforehand to avoid lines that night. (It’s also a good idea to take a screenshot of the online payment confirmation screen to show to the teachers handing out devices, or if you pay in person ahead of time, keep your receipt to show teachers just in case!)
During Open House
Open House is from 5pm to 7pm on August 26th. We’re so excited to see you! We’ll have some new teachers to meet, food and fun in the back parking lot, seventh grade orientation, and device handout in your first hour classrooms. Sheets will be available explaining how to log into your laptop, as the way you log in might be different than the way you logged in last year. Open House should be fun, not stressful, so it’s a good idea to take care of business as much as you can before you come that night!
