Offering vs. Serving: School Lunches Explained

Win-E-Mac is an offer vs. serve school. We do that to eliminate some food waste. Students have to take a FRUIT or VEGETABLE and then can choose from the rest of the components. They have to take 3 of the 5 available.

Today, for example, if students took a bun with meat, that would be two components, so they would have to take a fruit or a vegetable. The five components are: Fruit, Vegetable, Grains, Meat/Meat Alternative, and Milk.
